Well, in my family (growing up) we were always out on the lake...which is probably why I never thought Texas was very hot! Svend and I have both been dieing without a boat--he wants a sailboat and I want a speedboat! Someday right? Well, our wait has come to an end... we found the perfect one for our little family! 
The excitement before the adventure! Both kids seems SOOO anxious to take a ride!
Here's where Svend felt like "white trash"...but I think all the "smiling" people were just jealous!
Tally held the boat for us...good thing!
All in all we were very happy with tonight. What could you expect from a one year old who didn't get dinner until late! oops! And, I got to teach Tally about some boat safety...rearing up for when we have a real boat. Right now, ours is hanging over the porch drying. And, after talking to my sister-in-law today, I found out...we're now the only ones in the family with a boat!! Jealous?!?! haha!!! Good times!
The perfect family home evening:
2 happy kids
2 happy parents
1 calm, warm lake
1 great boat in the heat of the sun! 
The reality:
Bergen did NOT like the boat and screamed the whole time
Tally just wanted to be like Dora and "pull" the boat
Parents were annoyed but figured it was "worth the memories"
The lake was GREAT
The boat was...well, not our speed or sail boat but fit in our price range, is easy to store, and still fun.

That is WAY nicer than our boat... (that we don't have). So, jealousy from over here too!
I love it! This is the only kind of boat we had growing up in Seattle and we always loved it! Glad to see you're having fun!
Josh is going to be soooo jealous. He wants a boat so bad!
