updates

Quickly:

  • Today we were playing duck duck goose and Bergen says "mom you have to run like this (runs fast but in place) when you play with Tabifa so she can have more fun." SOO cute!
  • We were playing ninjas and Bergen required that we all be in black and have masks on. Tabitha was the ninja princess and dressed like sleeping beauty.  I wasn't allowed to wear my mask because he said it wasn't cool enough. haha.
  • Yesterday we were in Springfield and Bergen stood by the door to Lincoln's tomb while we read the plaques in front. He walked solemnly over to me and said softly, "I said a prayer for PResident Lincoln that he could come back to life." Love that sweet boy!
I have yet to get my pictures from Texas loaded on my computer...darn cam-corder! However, here's what we've done since we got back (somewhat!).

The library has pretty neat events every Wednesday. The first one was about bats. This guy was quite the "enthusiastic" speaker...not. But it was still interesting.
The kids LOVEd learning about bats! Unfortunately I was in the hall with Brooklyn for most of it because she had a 103 fever and was battling chills... we left and went to the hospital after this... she had a UTI. Poor kid!
We made fingerpaints with flour, water, and salt.
Alright...here's the new place! SOOO Much easier (and quicker to clean)!
         Kitchen
hallway/front entrance. All our crap hanging on the wall. Soon this will be full of coats/backpacks/snow pants!
 living room/computer
from the other side of the livingroom
front entrance (all our shoes in the door hanger). The hallway looks LONG in this.. really only about 10 ft
Bergen's/Brooklyn's room. Haven't found the screws to her crib and can't find any place that sells them... so she's in a pack n play.
our room. Decorating with storage bins :)
 Talia and Tabitha's room.
Their corner. The closet is FULL so no biggie to block it off.
 our 3X4 foot table :)
Tabitha building a tower and says "mom! don't take my picture!!!"
 tower starts to fall....
 well...that sucks!
Library field trip #2. A clown. Bergen got to be his helper and actually ended up wearing a flower hat and climbing on the guy's shoulders. so funny!

We are coming to enjoy Lisle.  It's a cute little town and there are a lot of splash parks nearby. The cost of living/food has gone up a lot...but I finally found a super walmart! Last week we went to the zoo and got a membership. We'll be there a lot of weekends as a family. Svend is doing good in his 2nd year.  We've had a few setbacks but all in all life is really being good to us. We have been blessed a lot this year and are so grateful for all we have endured and enjoyed!
