your kids are not only stuck inside with horrible coughs/colds but they are HYPER too?! what ever happened to laying on the couch watching movies while under a huge blanket? No such luck here... kids have enough energy to continue their normal fighting, terrorizing and paths of destruction...but cannot be out in public...erg!
your baby just starts crawling (no, Tabitha is NOT crawling...she's only 5 months!) and they explore/get into EVERYTHING, EVERYWHERE you go??? Now, put that into a 3 year old! ERG!!!
You, as the parent, ask the older kids to be quiet so the baby can sleep without interuption (for ONCE) b/c in addition to having a cough, she just got her shots and REALLY does not feel well... then one child softly says something and the other YELLS "HE/SHE'S TALKING!!!!"
your oldest (and wisest) gives a constant "look" that she KNOWS will bug the younger one...then when the younger one strikes out in frustration/annoyance/anger, the older one is quick to tattle or yell "get away from ME, I'm not playing with YOU" Well, GOOD! Get away from him!!!
Kids forget how to talk or even communicate for that matter. Sure, it's still new to them... but holding a plate or bowl in front of me does not tell me ANYTHING other than "your hand is going to get tired holding that bowl straight out"
This has been my day...today, yesterday, and the day before.... I love having a gym membership that lets me GET AWAY from it all for a bit....but you can't go when kids are sick :P Hoping it all ends soon :)
On a lighter note:
Tally failed her vision test at the drs. this morning but passed one I found for her on the internet...I really think the nurse just wasn't patient with her...
Tally and Bergen are BOTH in the 95% for height and Tabitha is in our shrimp in the 35%--cute!
Bergen has his speech evaluation tomorrow--HOORAY!!! I'm excited and hoping it gives some REAL direction for him behavior and frustration at school---he's been having a tough time with listening/following directions...etc
Tabitha doesn't get her ear-skin-tag removed for 4 more years b/c it involves her facial nerve. Yay! But glad we don't have to worry about it...so when you see her and her "silly ear" as Bergen calls it, just smile and tell me she's cute!
Bergen gets to get a blood draw SOMETIME (well, whenever I call the Drs. back b/c she forgot to give me the referral--she's got 6 kids...so mom brain) b/c she thinks he's anemic...he eats...well, WEIRD things--GROSS things...but LOTS of ice--ANY where he finds it! YUCK! Anyways, there's our life in a nut shell. Waiting for warmer weather so I can get the HECK OUT OF THE HOUSE!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
