All about Tally

Tally loves the thought of animals close by. Especially when they are not following her and just standing still. She also is the master at gettng goats to eat grass from her hand.
Tally loves to Swing! At her end of the year party, they had a hayride, jail house photo op, and a petting zoo. Their gift was a giant foam hat. Tally does not like to stand out and promptly allowed Bergen to take it.

Tally loves her friends. She's going to miss them all VERY much!
Tally loves her hair. She does NOT like to brush it. So...Daddy decided it was time for a haircut--the bribe: she got to do it at the kiddie haircut place and sit in a car and watch a movie... so she agreed. Before:
Styled for Church today:
Tally loves the water. She does not like swim lessons. She would be satisfied in her lifejacket for eternity. She does not like water on her face. This video is a huge accomplishment for her-- laying on her back, head in the water, with the threat of splashing water all over her face. After this particular swim lesson, she told me she will not be going back. I don't know when I learned to swim. I don't remember if I was scared or not...but I DO know that by age 8 I was on a swim team... so it's a little stressful for me to see Tally soooo aprehensive of the water. I'm trying not to project on her and hopefully she'll come to love it in her own time. I think she's doing a great job--she just doesn't enjoy it. However, Swimming is something EVERYONe has to learn--even if you hate it. She'll be back at it next weekend.

Tally is very much her own person with her own bubble. She likes to be the leader and takes charge if no one does first. She sees anyone around her age and they are instantly her friend whether they want to be or not. Her favorite game is to have people chase her. I think she's going to be a sprinter when she grows up! She thinks she is the fastest 4 year old around and hates when someone gets close to beating her. A lot of kids are annoyed with her game because they think she's running from them and doesn't want to play with them... but it's just her favorite game. She loves that Bergen loves to chase her and doesn't care that she always wins (for now). She loves to color and could for hours. She has a very "assertive" personality (as her teacher's put it) and will not take "crap" from anyone. She is special in her own way and we love every bit of her (except her smart mouth...but that may come in handy later with boys!). Anyways, there's Tally.

what a cute haircut! i have to say that i was forced to take swimming lessons...i think i always wanted to, but when we got there i did not want anything to do with it. i remember always being afraid. i dropped out once they made us go to the deep end-NO WAY!!! I am still deathly afraid of water (it's why a cruise does NOT sound fun to me, weird, I know). I'm glad you're having her take lessons...you're right everyone should learn to swim...i never did and now regret it.
